Meet Beth!

And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and POWERFULLY restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he WILL set you firmly in place and build you up.

-1 Peter 5:10

Beth knows this all to well. Growing up in a broken home, she was always looking for somewhere to belong, for someone to see her, and for acceptance. There was always something missing, and she would tell herself that she just didn't get the book that tells us how to do life like everybody else did. After turning to everything she could, in June 2018, she came to the end of herself and entered into rehab for the third time. Desperate, broken, divorced, and homeless, she finally couldn't take it any longer. She couldn't escape the pain. She looked at the stars one night and asked God, "If you are who they say you are, and you heal and fix people, why can I not be fixed? FIX ME!!" After a back and forth with God, and him relentlessly nudging at her heart, she lifted her hands during worship, and hasn't looked back since. Jesus had personally and powerfully restored her.

This is something she struggled with upon leaving the year long rehab program. She was free from addiction, but her mind and negative thought process continued. She still felt like she couldn't get her emotions and negative thinking under control. This lead her to seek wise council about the issues she was struggling with. After seeking Biblical Counseling, and with help form her doctor, she was diagnosed with depression, which lead to a bipolar diagnosis. This continued to feed her negative thought patterns, and she began to believe that her mind was beyond healing. She felt like she was the exception. The verses about a restored mind and being a new creation didn't apply to her.

After her diagnosis, somebody kind enough spoke some much needed truth into her. "We will continue to need healing until we reach heaven." "We will constantly be struggling in this world, because we are in the world but not a part of the world" And, "The enemy doesn't come to steal from an empty house." She knew there were people out there that needed to hear these truths. A mental health diagnosis doesn't stop us, but invites God to do an even mightier work. Its ok to be on medication, its ok to seek help. That doesn't take Jesus away. That doesn't make her less than.

Now, remarried (to the man she had divorced), going from homeless to homeowner, she is constantly reminded of the healing power of Jesus Christ. She has been sent with a mission-to help those in addiction find FREEDOM and a NEW identity in Christ Jesus. She firmly believes that upon this side of heaven we will continue to struggle, but there can be constant renewing of our minds-Rom. 12:2. She cannot hold back any longer what Jesus is doing in her. She firmly believes that AFTER we struggle just a while, Jesus will, HIMSELF, restore you and make you stronger. He will firmly set you in place.

These days, Beth is what her husband would call a crazy cat lady. She is currently raising her 2 boys, and fully living the life of sports mom and trucker's wife. She is now a Certified Human Flourishing Coach, and beginning her journey to become a Certified Mental Health Coach and Biblical Counselor. She lives, works, podcasts, and celebrates her NEW life in Jesus in Northwest Oklahoma.
